Don’t just stuff your keywords in willy-nilly and then tack on your city and state (or region or county) at the end. Remember that in addition to conveying to Google the terms for which you want your business to be relevant, these are the phrases that your prospective customers will see when they’re searching. The “title tags”, or the title of a blog post, is one of the crucial aspects when it comes to getting a better ranking on search engine result pages. The title tags not only tell search engines what your web page is all about, but also leave the first impression on the people who see your post title in the search results. How do you find people who value SEO enough to pay your prices? Type in your keyphrases. At least look at the first page (the top 10) and see what everyone else has in their description tags. Does it look like they’re being pulled from the copy on their pages?

Make sure any new content links to appropriate other pages

Directory Submission is important to Search Engine Optimization, especially for younger websites that don’t have links built all over the Internet already. It is an easy and free part of the Search Engine Optimization process which many novice webmasters ignore. If you want your website to succeed, don’t forget those directories. A page that doesn’t meet the needs and expectations of users will never achieve strong user signals. Because it’s not answering the right questions or providing the right information, users will quickly abandon your page in search of a more useful one. A silly issue that causes huge problems -- and happens more often than you would think -- is that sometimes people forget to unblock robots from crawling and indexing the website after the website goes live. Search engines typically prioritize site titles, page titles, blog post titles, and headings. These titles also appear in browser tabs and search results, so it's important to write them so they’re friendly to both search bots and human readers.

Asking your suppliers to provide a link to your site, using local chambers of commerce and guest posting on industry relevant blogs are all strategies that we’d recommend if you’re looking to gain more backlinks for your business.

Choose three primary keywords and have a list of others to target. When you improve those keywords, choose three more. Push your content to your social media profiles by integrating it with your blog, but don’t do it in a manner that’s “me, me, me” share other things too. There was a time when “keyword density” meant something for SEO content. How recently your webpage was published is also a ranking signal – but different types of searches have different freshness needs, such as searches for recent events, hot topics, and regularly recurring events.2 The rule of thumb is to use each keyword combination once per 100 words of content. While most SEO gurus preach that a web page should include 300 to 1,000 words of unique content, it’s important to remember that you’re writing for people, not robots. Keep it natural.

Types of Site Changes That Can Affect SEO

Writing for humans is just the first part of your SEO strategy and one that works with our next tactic, namely giving visitors what they want. As well as great quality content you need a website that is easy to use and provides a great user experience – in other words, don’t make your visitors think. If your website is hard to navigate, information is difficult to find or the design is too busy then visitors are unlikely to stick around no matter how well written your content is. Generally speaking, the more QUALITY websites that link to you, the better. More website links bring more traffic, and that helps boost your web traffic. More importantly, Google counts every link to your website as a vote of sorts. If you get a lot of good “votes” from other relevant and reputable websites, Google will reward you with higher rankings in the search engine results and you’ll get even more visibility and traffic. Google generates far more traffic than any of the other search engines, including Bing(Microsoft), Yahoo and all the other search engines combined, so being high on the Google search engine results is what it’s all about! Search engines use links to crawl the web. Crawlers will flow from links between the internal individual pages on your website and they will crawl the links between different websites. Start mapping out a plan for action

If your motive was only to cross link your website and that is why you have created websites, do not forget that search engines are smart. They will get to know that and will penalize you for the same. If your site is cross linked with no outside links, then you might be punished by Google. Understanding your audience and the entire consumer journey so you can be visible at the moments when it matters most is mission critical now. There are other things that you can do to get contextual links, such as guest bloggingand mentioning other sites in your content (and letting them know about it). The key to success is balancing risk with reward and keeping a close eye on your budget. You need to KNOW how much risk you're willing to take on and how much money it'll take to get results.
