Google has become tremendously more sophisticated about the signals that it does consider when it comes to applying relevance of keywords to a particular site. f someone is more actively seeking something then it’s more likely they’ll search longer strings of words, meaning that you will target people who will be more willing to engage with your content. If you’re selling goods or services, then targeting long tail keyword can really make a big difference. Off page SEO or search engine optimisation is doing things off site to improve your sites search engine rankings. It has been commonly known that having multiple domains linked to one website, often improve rankings. However, although this may be true, if you plan to register multiple domain names, you should keep them as relevant to your main keywords as possible, even if you put hyphens between the keywords. This means that your website address is more likely to appear higher up the search engine rankings.
Authority metrics are only barometers
You don’t merely want people to see your website. You want them to visit it, spend time on it and take the desired actions on it. Search Engine Optimization
requires the inclusion of popular (highly searched) or profitable (highly searched just before buying) words into headlines, copy, and other page elements. Google is acutely concerned about the user's experience. It has been for a long time and this is nothing new. Like most SEO professionals, nothing wrecks my digestive system more than an organic traffic drop with no apparent reason.
What makes up authoritative content?
Website owners used to litter their content with tons of keywords in order to rank higher on Google. Now, the search engine penalizes for those practices. Take an aspect
of your niche that people find difficult and create the most comprehensive tutorial there is on the subject. SEO takes some time. There’s no legitimate way around that. But SEO is also not a one-and-done activity. You can’t SEO a website and call it good. If you want to stay competitive, then SEO shouldn’t stop just because you’ve started seeing results. Google has access to all this incredible data about where people go on the Internet through Chrome and through Android.
Not enough data to tell
Every SERP is unique, even for search queries performed on the same search engine using the same keywords or search queries. This is because virtually all search engines customize the experience for their users by presenting results based on a wide range of factors beyond their search
terms. Think of Amazon. They probably have a few best-selling products, but the majority of their retail revenue comes from a wide variety of things that aren’t bought anywhere nearly as often as their best-selling products. Similarly, if we were to rank the popularity of the songs played in the last 10 years, there would be a few hits that would garner the majority of plays, and an enormous number of songs that have only a few plays. Those less popular products and songs are what we call the long tail. While the worldwide average is two words per search phrase, the USA, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia all show that searchers prefer the use of three- or four-word terms. According to
SEO Consultant, Gaz Hall: "No website in a competitive market gets valuable traffic from Google in 2017 without a lot of work, technical work and content curation."
Identify niche blogs, forums and newsletters
If you want to use your SEO campaign to truly and accurately speak to your audience and potential buyers, think about what gaps you can fill that competitors don’t. SEOs have tried
many ways to sneak in links. One of the more creative ways was to embed a link into an infographic. When people would copy the infographic because they liked it, they were also copying links. Widgets were also used this way. No one appreciates them. The reason you want natural, helpful, informative links is that you don’t want to have to constantly replace links ignored by the search engines and you don’t want to suffer from penalties and downgrades. Link acquisition should happen without anxiety. Write unique descriptions for every page of your website. In case you don’t know, each single page of your site stands on its own merits. Your website as a whole does not get ranked on Google.
